How to create a natural looking wave that doesnt look crimped ?

Hi Ive been tryin a few hair styles for my wedding hair and as I have thick hair I have tried it curly and they just keep falling out after a while which Is Ideal. I have now decided to have my hair straight, but I was wanting to have it with a few elegant waves rather that to have it just poke straight. I have got one of those 3 barrel tousel wave things that attaches like a curling tong, but as my hair is thick it seems to make my hair look even thicker.

I was just wondering how to create little waves without going over the top with the curls. As my hair is so thick and past shoulder length I have to put it up in like 4 sections and the more I do the thicker my hair becomes. I get a wave when I curl it then brush it out but it goes really thick as there are like 4 layers of hair.

Any suggestions will be great and thanks for your answers.

main mistake is that ur brushing it out

your 3 barrel tong will do it

wash ur hair

use a setting lotion or a mousse when u dry it

to protect it from the heat. When using the tongs dont go right to the root this will lift them even more and give you to much root lift and give you real big hair

move the tong down the hair slower for more wave and quicker to make it softer.

you could also try setting your hair on really big velcro rollers to get a real soft wave.In my Salon we use coke cans to set hair into a gentle wave.

if your going to try and set your hair

DONT brush it out afterwards just run your finger through it with a little big of serum

hope this is of some help

This is your wedding day! Spend the extra money and go get an up-do at a local salon. You want to look your best, and those pics will be around forever. They can do your hair however you want.

To get really nice waves, I use Pantene Texurize Spray, it's so easy, and works great.

while your hair is still damp, rub some mousse in it. then scrunch it with your fingers. or use rollers.if nothing else works, just find a curling iron with a big big barrel.

When you hair is still damp...not wet....damp.....put some styling gel or product in it and scrunch it up with your fingers....you must have some natural curl. and if it still isn't curly enough for you try a few curls with your 3 barrel....otherwise....it's your wedding day...it's your only day to look extra nice and special.....go to a local salon and they can always help you or just do it for you.

Hope you have a wonderful wedding.

well firstly if you have the straightening irons you can use them for fabulous soft curls or waves and yes i do mean straightening irons,

never brush thick hair out if you have any sort of wave in it, there is a fab comb you can get which has only 7 teeth and this is great for your type of hair and one thing i do in the salon is to spray a little lacquor onto the comb before putting it into your hair and this will help to smoothe it outand also to keep the do in place , you would be much better to go to a salon tho and have it done professionally, i have done hair and gone to the wekking and have had to pull the bride to the side because she had thick hair and the sheer weight of it has pulled it out so you trying to do it your self i would highly discourage

hi try putting it in 3 plaits after washing your hair (whilst its damp) before you go to bed when you wake up you will have nice waves.

Curl roughly with a curler while damp. Then scrunch tight with your hands and comb out with your fingers. Don't brush out with a brush until it's completely dry!!! And evn then, just try and flick it out, rather than brush it out. Use a wide-toothed, handled brush for this, not one with bristles all the way round.
